Detail showing the beam and block floor being laid. This raises the internal floor level by 900mm to bring it up to the levels outside.
This is the first stage of the new floor:

Damp proof membrane, followed by 75mm concrete screed.

The first stage of the flooring now complete, ready for insulation and the pipework for the underfloor heating.

Normally when this type of floor is installed the materials are craned in before the roof goes on.

Everything had to be manhandled into the building so anyone who thinks builders are underworked and overpaid should talk to these guys.

Alan Martin and Roger Shaddick certainly earned their keep on this job!
High security palisade fencing now surrounds the entire site.

Entrance being completed to Highways spec but final coat of tarmac will be left until the build is complete.
